| As
you can see from the pictures below, the idea of running radio yachts
for corporate entertainment has taken off. The uses of these boats
are many, fleet racing, match racing, teaching tactics and just
enjoying the fun of sailing; for all ability levels from approx.
11+ age. The June 2007 event at Chiswick Park business centre, London,
is shown below.
During
2006, we were at the ISAF Youth Worlds 2006 and a round robin of
races for the UK yachting celebrities, 29'ers & 49'ers Nationals
etc.
We
have found that the larger the event the more succesful it can be,
we get a lot of requests for information and typical costs for a
day would be around £1000 depending on where, when and how
many boats and staff I bring along and where I need to stay overnight,
£600 for a half day. If you are a event firm using my services
for a day, then it's up to you how much you charge per go.

Chiswick Park Business Centre, London, June 07. Racelines
and other sailing orientated firms supported the Parks corporate
leisure activities, a nice place to work!
|

Racelines set up in the Parks ornamental lake, ready for
the lunchtime customers. |

A light wind day, barely a zephyr ruffled the waters. We
introduced loads of new people to sailing radio control Lasers
and even sold them to the new enthusiasts. |

As usual we were busy long after others had packed up! |

The koi carp in the lake were taking an interest, at around
30-50cms long they were like mini submarines, chewing on the
buoys and gear and chasing the RC Lasers. |

Pleasant weather, BBQ's, a wine bar and lots of sailing
activities on offer to try and talk about, what more could you
want to do at lunchtime? |

Our customer base is getting younger, he enjoyed playing
'dodgem boats' but wouldn't let his sister play! |

The colours and the sails help the greenery moderate the
lines of the modern structures which are very light and airy
inside. |

With over 3000 staff taking a Friday lunchtime break, we
thought we might be swamped, but over 4 hours it was fine. |

Whether talking sailing, having a go or just eating their
lunch, a pleasant time out for the staff. I was longing for
a visit to the ice cream stall..... |
